Chef's Notes

Kibbeh is one of my mom's favorite foods, but as you know, I value practicality and I got that from her, so we rarely fry it at home (see, fries in the oven lol). This kibbeh is delicious and even has two options, you can make it on a tray in the oven, or in balls in the airfryer, both amazing options!

Ingredients

600g minced meat

1 tablespoon of butter

1 chopped onion

2 garlic cloves

200g of wheat for kibbeh

200g boiling water

mint to taste

Oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Step by step

1. Sauté the onion in butter until translucent, add the garlic and sauté,

2. Place the wheat in a bowl and pour the boiling water over it and cover for about 5 minutes,

3. Wait for the onion and wheat to cool down a bit,

4. Add the ground beef with olive oil, mint and salt,

5. Mix everything with your hands until you form a homogeneous mass,

6. Drizzle a baking sheet with olive oil on the bottom and place the kibbeh on top, press it down well, put more olive oil and a little ice on top, cut it into pieces,

7. Take it to the oven at 180c for about 30 minutes until it is cooked, I made the mini cigars and put them in the airfryer at 200c for 10 minutes ❤️ it turned out amazing
